ILSTO would love to award more financial assistance but we need your help to do so. There certainly is a great need in our LCMS schools so families can continue to send their children to an Iowa Lutheran Elementary/Secondary School. As you begin thoughts of end of year giving, RMD distributions, and other tax planning, please consider a donation to the Iowa Lutheran School Tuition Organization. Your donation can be cash, RMD, appreciated stock, or even grain. The 75% Iowa tax credit is the largest tax credit in Iowa and there are also added tax benefits to C-Corporations if that includes you or someone you know. For more information about ILSTO go online to www.iowalutheransto.com or call Dewey Torkelson at 712-260-2991.
Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning, God created.” Many studies report atheism is on the rise in our culture. The appeal of atheism is in the denial of a Creator. If the world just happens to exist — and we are just accidents that arose out of a long process of random, directionless evolution — then we get to make our own rules and nobody has any right to tell us otherwise. But if there is a Creator, then obviously He would know best, and we would do best to follow His commands. Of course, we Christians know this Creator very well, and we have seen not only His power and commands but also His grace and mercy in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
