A LIFE QUOTE    “It is He who sustains us each and every day. It is He who brings us into the world, and He who draws our earthly lives to a close at the proper time. It is He who was born for us, He who died for us, He who rose for us, and He who reigns on high for us. His is the pattern of our lives.” Deaconess Bethany Stoever, Director-at-Large, LFL of Kansas – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • lutheransforlife.org

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES:        “Don’t worry, be happy!” … remember that catchy little tune from the 80’s? Repeatedly, God gives us this same message in His Word; but isn’t it so much easier to say “don’t worry” than it is to not worry? When you’re feeling overwhelmed with worry, go to God’s Word, read, then write down on a piece of paper some of the verses that speak directly to you. To get started, check out Psalm 23:4, John 14:27, Matthew 6:25+, Romans 8:31, and Isaiah 41:10. Also know that men and women who share your Lutheran Christian faith and are trained and experienced at helping people with worry (and many other things) are available to you at Lutheran Family Service through office or telehealth visits. Call us – it’s why we’re here! Lutheran Family Service www.LutheranFamilyService.org            (515.573.3138 and LFSiowa.org)

ONLINE GIVING We now have the option of online giving available on our website:  www.gracewaterloo.org

You will  enter a secure site and can setup weekly or one time gifts to your regular giving or to special funds like the building repair fund. Giving can be setup with either a credit card or your bank account.  You can create an account that will remember your information for future use. This is a very secure site so you can setup giving with confidence that your information will be safe.

You can also setup giving using an app on a cell phone. Just search for Vanco in your App Store.  Using this you will need to create an account with your information to allow the app to communicate with Vanco.

A REMINDER: Members wishing to contribute to the recent loan for roofing and air conditioning may do so by marking the memo line on your check for the Properties Repair Loan and leaving your donation in the offering plate or office.  All donations to the cause will be directly applied to the loan.  Thank you for your generous heart.

James 1:17 – “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” God is the source of all goodness. When we do good, therefore, we imitate Him and reflect His light to all the world. Christians give freely because God has first given so freely to us; we are only imitating our Father, growing up into His likeness.
