PODCAST WITH DAILY BIBLE READINGS On Ash Wednesday, we began a new podcast entitled “In God’s Time”. This is a cooperative effort to reach the Cedar Valley and the world beyond with the Good News of God’s Word. This podcast is designed to take a chronological approach to the reading of the Bible. Each day, we will bring you a new edition with special guests taking turns reading from God’s Word chronologically, which means that we will take the Bible and read it from the first events to the very last as it happened. The first episode comes out on March 5th, so visit https://ingodstime.podbean.com/ to listen to the podcasts every day.  You can also access the podcast from various other podcasting sites by visiting https://www.ilcv.org/the-in-gods-time-podcast

This has a lot of good information in them. I will need to know in the office if you are interested by April 20th. Thank you for your help.

A LIFE QUOTE “Think of how important we as human beings must be in the eyes of God, if He—as the almighty creator and Lord of the entire universe—was willing to take on human flesh and become one of us. God loves the human race so much He decided to become our brother.” Thomas P. Nass, CELC President – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • lutheransforlife.org

BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES : On average, a human head has 100,000 hairs attached. How many are on yours? Don’t know? Well God does! “Indeed, the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than sparrows.” (Luke 12:7) Don’t think your concerns and worries are too small - or too big - for your Father. When troubles and concerns of the world tempt you to forget this truth, take a minute to run your fingers through your hair and remember who you are: His precious, beloved child. He knows and cares about what you’re going through and does not want you to be afraid. Lutheran Family Service  www.LutheranFamilyService.org (515.573.3138 and LFSiowa.org)

What’s in a date?  Do you know how the date of Easter is decided?

Easter falls on the first Sunday after the Full Moon date, based on mathematical calculations, that falls on or after March 21. If the fall moon is on a Sunday, Easter is celebrated on the following Sunday.  Easter can be on any day from March 22 to April 25.

Upcoming Easter dates:

April 20, 2025

April 5, 2026

March 28, 2027

April 16, 2028

April 1, 2029

April 21, 2030

April 13, 2031

March 28, 2032

John 6:5 “Jesus said to Philip, ‘Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?’” Why does Jesus ask Philip this question? Of course Jesus knows the answer already — He knows how He means to care for His people. The Lord provided, and He still provides. But we need to know this, and so Jesus gets Philip thinking about it. The knowledge that the Lord provides frees us for generosity without fear.
